Bart Bailey is a seasoned business executive, certified leadership coach, and the author of It’s in Our Bones—a powerful exploration of the generational narratives that shape who we are and who we can become. With over 25 years of experience in Operations and Operational Excellence, Bart brings a rare blend of corporate expertise, emotional intelligence, and soulful leadership to every room he enters.
As Chief Operating Officer for Courage to Care consultancy, Bart harnesses the principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) to build workplaces where belonging isn’t just a buzzword. It’s a lived experience. He’s known for creating transformative spaces where real conversations happen and where individuals and organizations move from surviving to thriving.
Bart’s system-thinking mindset and deep compassion drive his coaching around unconscious bias, team dynamics, and authentic leadership. His work inspires people to step fully into their passion and purpose while aligning operational success with human flourishing.

A lifelong student of mindfulness, Kantor’s Four-Player Model, and psychological safety, Bart leads with both rigor and heart. He is a longstanding JEDI practitioner who has facilitated global forums on racial equity, healing, and liberation. His work bridges identity, power, and purpose with compassion and clarity.
Outside of consulting, Bart serves as the Chair of the Family Advisory Councils for Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. He is also a President of the Prince George’s County “Truth” branch of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH®) and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
